Can I put pictures from forums on the web into my ebook as reference?

Say I want pictures from people who have posted pics of there fitness on a forum site. And they post a results picture three month later. Can I use those pics cause they do not have a copyright on them. And can I put those pics on a ebook I am trying to write as reference pictures?
